Session types and formats
Symposium: the main building block of the scientific programme, each symposium is focussed on a specific topic and is composed of three presentations given by invited speakers, along with two presentations selected through the abstract submission process. After each presentation, there will be time for Q&A with the audience, moderated by a session chair or co-chairs.
Meet the Expert: informal interactive sessions where an expert is invited to meet, connect and answer questions with participants on a given topic. The aim of these sessions is not to have a 1-hour presentation, but rather have a short presentation followed by a very lively discussion and Q&A session with participants around a specific topic.
Keynote Lecture: a renowned speaker is invited to give a presentation on a topic that is either of very high interest, highly controversial, ground-breaking or extremely relevant to attendees.
Career Discovery Session: dedicated to young researchers who are looking to boost their career by learning tips and tricks on different professional pathways. The session room will be organised with roundtables, each focused on a given topic and expertise, and participation will be limited to 9 participants per table per time slot. These sessions will be open only to pre-registered attendees.
